Watching this lecture led me to buy and read Cain's book - 'Quiet: In a world that can't stop talking'. Essentially it is about the difference between introverts and extroverts and the merits and demerits of both. I think her research has probably had the most profound affect on my life over and above anything else which I have read. Reading it made me understand people better and myself better - although neither of which were the original intentions of reading the book.
